Privacy policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This policy explains what personal information DraftAlive collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. DraftAlive (draftalive.com) is operated by Pennantry Inc., a Texas corporation ("we", "us").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and the items you order.
- Your designs: logos and artwork you upload, text, colors, sizes, placements, and your sample approval decisions.
- Messages: what you send us by email or through our website chat.
Payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We do not see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site.
- Interaction data: how you use our pages, such as clicks, taps, scrolling, and mouse movement, recorded through PostHog as session replays, heatmaps, and event logs. Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded.
- Advertising identifiers: when you arrive from an ad, the click identifier in the link (such as a Google, Meta, or OpenAI click ID) and campaign parameters (UTM tags).
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 4.
2. How we use your information
- To make your sample, produce and ship your order, and send you order and sample emails.
- If you leave the reminder box ticked when you get a quote (it starts ticked and you can untick it), to email you a reminder about that quote, reorder reminders and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of these emails.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the site secure.
- To measure which ads lead to orders and improve our advertising (see section 4).
- To keep records we are required to keep for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only as needed for the purposes above:
- Shopify — our store platform, checkout, and payments.
- Manufacturing and fulfillment partners — to embroider and ship your caps. They receive your design and the shipping details needed to deliver your order, and may be located outside the United States.
- Shipping carriers — to deliver your order.
- Hosting, storage, and email providers (such as Render, Cloudflare, and Resend) — to run our custom-design tools, store uploaded artwork, and send order emails.
- Customer chat and support email provider (Chatwoot) — to run the chat on our website and handle support email.
- Email marketing provider (Klaviyo) — our store shares customer and order records and on-site activity (such as pages viewed and checkouts started) with Klaviyo. We only send marketing emails to people who agreed to receive them, for example by leaving the quote reminder box ticked, and we stop a quote reminder once you place your order.
- Website analytics providers (PostHog) — to understand how visitors use our site and fix problems; see section 4.
- Advertising and analytics partners (such as Meta, Google, and OpenAI) — see section 4.
- Authorities or other parties when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights and safety, and a buyer or successor if the business is sold.
4. Cookies, advertising, and your choices
We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, Google advertising and analytics tags, and the OpenAI pixel used to measure our ads in ChatGPT. We load the OpenAI pixel only when your privacy settings allow it. These tell us and our advertising partners when a visit or purchase comes from an ad, so we can measure results and show relevant ads. This may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some U.S. state laws.
We also use PostHog to record how visitors move through our pages, including page views, clicks, and session replays, so we can improve the site. PostHog stores this data in the United States. We load PostHog only when your privacy settings allow analytics.
Your choices:
- Use the cookie or privacy banner on our site, where available, to decline non-essential cookies.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser; we treat it as an opt-out of sharing for targeted advertising.
- Adjust ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings, or visit optout.aboutads.info.
5. How long we keep information
- Paid orders: order details, approved designs, and sample records are kept as long as needed for production, warranty claims, and tax and accounting obligations.
- Unpaid designs and uploads: deleted after a limited period. Uploads that never enter a design are deleted within 24 hours.
- Chat conversations: kept while needed for support.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including California, other U.S. states, and Canada, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising; and
- not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will verify your request with the email address used for your order and respond within 30 days, or within the period your local law requires. You may use an authorized agent. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our response.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
8. Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service and manufacturing partners operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know on our site.
